Here's how we can bring balance back to your life

Pain, Injury and Sports Recovery
Whether it's a niggle that won't go away or a sports injury that's sidelined you, we'll help you understand what's going on — and what to do about it.
Pain doesn't always show up with a clear reason. Maybe it's been building for months. Maybe you landed wrong on the weekend and it's still not right. Either way, our physios take the time to figure out what's actually going on, not just where it hurts.
What We Treat
- Back & neck pain
- Shoulder, knee & ankle injuries
- Sports injuries & return-to-play
- Post-surgical rehab
- Tendon & overuse injuries (tendinopathy)
- Strains, sprains & general aches that won't settle
- Pain that won't go away, even after other treatment
Our Approach
We combine hands-on treatment — dry needling, joint mobilisation, and massage — with tailored exercise and clear, practical advice.
No jargon, no guesswork. Just a plan that makes sense for your body and your goals.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a hands-on technique used alongside your treatment plan to help release tight or overactive muscles, ease pain, and improve movement. Fine needles are inserted into specific trigger points within the muscle, helping to reduce tension and promote a faster return to normal function — often providing relief where other techniques alone haven't been enough.
It's particularly effective for muscle tightness, tension headaches, sports injuries, and persistent overuse pain.
Dry needling is currently offered by: Micaela, Emily & Keely
Coming soon (from August, following training): Roland & Dan
Objective Testing with VALD
We use the VALD ForceDecks and Dynamo systems to add objective, data-backed insight to your assessment and rehab — the same technology used by elite sporting teams across the AFL, NRL and beyond.
- ForceDecks are dual force plates that measure how your body produces and distributes force during movements like squatting, jumping, and landing — helping us spot strength imbalances or injury risk that aren't always obvious on the surface.
- Dynamo measures the strength of individual muscle groups with precision, giving us a clear, accurate baseline to track your progress against over time.
Together, these tools help us move beyond guesswork — giving you (and us) a clear, measurable picture of your strength, symmetry, and progress throughout your rehab.
This is an included part of your physiotherapy session — there's no extra cost and nothing to sign up for.
Somatic & Mind-Body Approaches
Sometimes pain sticks around even after the tissue has healed — and that doesn't mean it's not real, or that you're imagining it. Persistent pain is often linked to a nervous system that's become overly sensitised, treating ordinary movement as a threat.
Emily offers a somatic, mind-body approach alongside standard physiotherapy for clients dealing with persistent or unexplained pain. Rather than only addressing the site of pain, this approach also looks at how your nervous system, stress levels, and overall sense of safety are contributing to what you're feeling — helping calm an overactive pain response from the ground up.
This can be especially helpful if you've tried traditional treatment before without lasting relief, or if your pain seems to flare with stress, fatigue, or overwhelm as much as with movement.
